The hip boutique buyer

Thursday 6 May 2010

Eva Galambos, Parlour X

Galambos has been front row since the first Fashion Week.  Her Paddington boutique is brimming with a red-hot mix of Australian designers and international high end labels.

What's your wardrobe mantra for fashion week?

I've picked out some great highlight pieces from Parlour X from all my favourite brands like Balenciaga and Isabel Marant.  I then get dressed up as I normally do, although I take it to another level for impact.

Who have you got your eye on?

I buy Australian labels every summer including the regulars like camilla and marc, Romance Was Born, Fernando Frisoni, Kirrilly Johnston and Zambesi.  Then I do my research on the new ones to watch, so i'm looking forward to Christopher Esber, A.Concept, Phos Phoro, Konstantina Mittas, Gail Sorronda and New Gen.

Your most memorable moment?

Definitely the early years, when we'd kick on to all the after parties, there seemed to be no expense spared, whereas these days everyone is more serious and happy to go home.

Survival tip?

Lots of vitamin C, water and resting in the bar between shows.
