Mother of Pearl was launched by Maia Norman, in 2009. Norman, the wife of acclaimed British artist Damien Hirst, always having a strong connection to the art world. She studied fine art at Parsons in Paris, and became a self-taught silversmith in the following years. Mother of Pearl aims to bridge the gap between art and fashion, each season collaborating with an established artist to produce the prints featured in that collection.  Her brand is a fusion of lux fabrics, prints, colour, function and elegance.
