THE ULIMATE BROW KIT

Shape Up
Most women over-pluck, so what’s the first step to great brows? Leave your arches alone for at least six weeks before you shape the, says brow expert Nathan Williams of Sydney’s Parlour B. “It’s important to have enough hair for the technician to work with.”

Beautiful brows

"That is, i could until last week when i added another expert - The Eyebrow Whisperer (truly his name) - to my calendar. Specialising in eyebrows only, Nathan turned the humble eyebrow wax/pluck into a beauty experience. Suddenly years of having very average, almost invisible blonde brows i had smoky brown arches. My whole face looked different, I was transformed".

"I have always been teased for having a mono-brow, so for some much-needed eyebrow shaping I visited Nathan Williams at Parlour B. As it was my first time, Williams used tweezers rather than wax. There were no thin lines or drastic arches: instead I got brows that were natural-looking and low maintenance. All I had to do was tweeze following his line and re-visit the salon in four to five weeks to void the return of the dreaded mono-brow.

"Eva Galambos, fashion buyer and owner of Sydney Boutique Parlour X, typifies the modern well-maintained Australian woman. She is a once or twice-weekly regular at Valonz, and gets her brows done every three weeks by Nathan Williams, at Parlour B, the man dubbed Sydney's eyebrow whisperer; an experience she describes as an "addiction". She gets her nails done once or every one or two weeks, waxes regularly, moisturises assiduously and uses eye cream, night cream & day cream, although she has never had a facial. When she runs through this list, she admits its a lot, but she is, she says, "into preservation. I also feel i deserve it because this is my reward in life in relation to how hard i work".
